One of the Omaha Schools Foundation's most gratifying experience is honoring The Future Educators and Super 13 Scholars each year. At a reception held before the OSF Board meeting, scholars were given an opportunity to share their plans for furthering their education. It was great fun hearing where they were going to go to school and what they will be studying.
These Scholarships are administered through the Omaha Schools Foundation and made possible by the generous donations of friends of the Omaha Public Schools. The Super 13 Scholarship is awarded to one student from each high school who has attended the Omaha Public Schools consecutively from kindergarten through 12th grade. Students must demonstrate strong character, community involvement and a strong grade point average. Seniors from each Omaha Public Schools high school are nominated each year and chosen by a select committee of professionals to receive these honors.
The Future Educator Scholarship is awarded to one student from each high school who will be studying education. Students must also demonstrate strong character, community involvement and a strong grade point average.
