At 150 miles an hour a paratrooper exits the plane 12,000 feet over TD AmeriTrade Park with an American flag to pay tribute to the servicemen and women who defend our freedom.

Join Creighton University Baseball on May 13th at 6:30 p.m. as we Honor and Remember our Veterans and First Responders. Bring your family, friends, teammates and fill the stadium with 24,000. We're on a mission to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the highest attendance at a single game and for a great cause.

Events

  • 6:00 pm OPD & Fire Departments Pipe & Drum will lead in the FAMILIES OF THE FALLEN. Gold Star, OFD, and OPD families of the fallen (approximately 250) from centerfield to first base on the warning track.
  • 6:25 pm Honor Guards Post behind home plate, American Flag  (30' x 50") will take position in outfield. This American Flag weighs 100 pounds, takes 90 volunteers to carry and has been to the World Trade Center, Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.
  • 6: 25 pm 1st skydiver lands (Lincoln Skydiving Parachute Club) as National Anthem is sung by MSG (Ret) Jimmy Weber. Anthem concludes as 4th Skydiver lands with American Flag.
  • 6:29 pm Flyover
  • 6:30 pm Baseball Game Honor & Remember Flags will be presented during game.

Post Game

After the 9th Inning, the Pipe & Drums take 1st base line and play a melody, followed by Echo Taps, as names of the fallen are scrolled on Jumbo Tron.

The whole evening will be followed by a spectacular Fireworks display with Patriotic Melodies sung by MSG (Ret) Jimmy Weber.
